ZG-X22D mono-end hydroxypropyl-functional polydimethylsiloxane

ZG-X22D Mono-End Hydroxypropyl-Functional Polydimethylsiloxane

ZG-X22D contains a single reactive primary hydroxyl group at one end of the molecule, with the other end being a non-reactive capping group. The hydroxyl can react with isocyanates and, under suitable conditions, can also participate in esterification, incorporating PDMS segments at the end or side chains of resin molecules in a single-point manner. Because it contains on average only one hydroxyl reactive site, this product is better suited for end-capping, molecular weight adjustment and low-crosslinking risk surface functionalization.

Product positioning: mono-end monohydroxyl reactive silicone macromolecular capping/grafting agent for end-group adjustment, molecular weight control and reactive surface modification of polyurethane and polyester systems

Product Features

Reactive Flexible Segment

PDMS segments are chemically incorporated into the resin system via hydroxyl reaction, helping reduce the migration, exudation and insufficient durability risks of ordinary silicone oils

Flexibility and Stress Relief

Improves softness, resilience, slip, hydrophobicity, anti-blocking, stain resistance and friction performance, and helps relieve internal stress in the system

High Reaction Efficiency

Low-molecular-weight grades have higher hydroxyl density and more pronounced reaction efficiency, suitable for systems requiring high reaction participation

Pronounced Surface Effect

High-molecular-weight grades show a more pronounced PDMS surface effect, but require reinforced compatibility evaluation
